Onderwater is a poetic performance created for public space.
An accordionist and a performer create an underwater world that creatively testifies to a life in quarantine and the confrontation with disease and decay, but also allows dormant insights, renewed energy and confidence to surface.
Poetry, music and the dance of a spider-like creature on stilts form a whole that is both layered and accessible.
After a long dive, new sounds emerge, connecting creative energies that once again reclaim its rightful place in the public space.
The performance can be taken anywhere outside and can also be mobile, for example as part of a parade. Texts and songs are performed in English, Dutch and Portuguese
